Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today! – Investigator (Compliance Specialist 2) The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Center for Health Protection, Health Licensing Office (HLO) in Salem, Oregon, is excited to announce a fantastic career opportunity for an Investigator (Compliance Specialist 2). This vital role plays a key part in ensuring the health and safety of licenses and the public. The Investigator (Compliance Specialist 2) supports consumer protection and regulatory compliance by conducting thorough investigations of complaints related to licensed individuals and facilities governed by HLO-administered boards, councils, and programs. Through comprehensive investigative work and detailed reporting, this position helps guide enforcement decisions and uphold Oregon’s licensing standards. As an Investigator, you will conduct investigations, gather and analyze evidence, interview involved parties, prepare detailed reports, recommend enforcement actions, and testify in administrative hearings. You will also provide compliance guidance, collaborate with regulatory partners, identify trends, and help shape policy improvements — all while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and independence in support of public safety. This announcement is for one, full-time, permanent, SEIU represented, Investigator (Compliance Specialist 2) position based in Salem, Oregon. This is a hybrid position. “Review Section4: Working Conditions” in the position description (linked above) for more information. Employment is contingent upon a criminal records check that meets OHA criteria at the time of hire and throughout employment. The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying range. If the successful candidate qualifies for PERS, the salary range will increase by6.95%. For more information, see the Classification and Compensation page.
