About Us
Coding Pillars LLP builds Automan.CP, an industrial digitization platform for auto component manufacturers covering Maintenance, Production, and Stock Management.
We are looking for a passionate IoT Engineer Intern who wants hands-on experience working with real industrial IoT devices, embedded systems, machine data, networking and cloud communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Industrial IoT & Machine Data
- Work with IoT devices deployed on industrial machines such as press machines and stamping lines.
- Capture and process machine signals, sensor inputs and production data.
- Troubleshoot machine data discrepancies and communication issues.
- Ensure reliable transfer of machine data to cloud systems.
- Embedded Systems & Firmware
- Work with Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico W and other microcontrollers.
- Develop and modify embedded firmware using MicroPython/Python.
- Work with GPIO, UART, sensors, relays and digital inputs/outputs.
- Implement debouncing, filtering, buffering, retry and device-level logic.
- Debug hardware and firmware using serial terminals, multimeters and other tools.
- MQTT & Cloud
- Work with MQTT, JSON and AWS IoT.
- Understand topics, QoS, reconnect/retry mechanisms and message handling.
- Develop reliable device-to-cloud communication.
- Handle temporary network failures and ensure data is not unnecessarily lost.
- IoT Gateway & Hardware
- Assist in designing, prototyping and fabricating industrial IoT gateway devices.
- Work with sensors, relay modules, power supplies, connectors and enclosures.
- Interface industrial signals such as 24V machine pulses with IoT devices.
- Assist in hardware testing and troubleshooting.
- Networking
- Configure and troubleshoot Wi-Fi/LAN connectivity for IoT devices.
- Understand basic IP networking, routers, ports and cloud connectivity.
- Troubleshoot communication between devices, plant networks and cloud servers.

- Machine stroke/production count monitoring.

- Production data processing and cloud communication.
- Signal filtering and troubleshooting count discrepancies.
- Assembly Line IoT System
- Sensor-based counting.
- Barcode scanner integration through UART.
- Button/event monitoring.
- Machine/conveyor interlocking using relays.
- Buzzer and LED status indication.
- Pico-to-Pico W UART communication.
- MQTT and AWS IoT integration.
- Industrial Barcode Scanning System
- Fixed barcode scanner integration.
- UART communication and JSON processing.
- Local operator feedback using display/LED/buzzer.
- Cloud-based IoT data transmission.
- IoT Device Deployment & Networking
- Wi-Fi/router configuration.
- AWS IoT connectivity troubleshooting.
- Device installation and commissioning at customer plants.
- Hardware & Deployment
- Research and evaluate microcontrollers, sensors, relays and other components.
- Compare components based on cost, availability and reliability.
- Participate in on-site installations at customer factories.
- Assist with wiring, configuration, calibration and testing.
- Troubleshoot hardware, firmware and network issues.
Documentation
Maintain wiring diagrams, firmware versions and device configurations.
Maintain installation and testing logs.
Document troubleshooting and deployment activities.
Who Can Apply?
Freshers / recent graduates with a background in CSE, IT, ECE, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related fields.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of C/C++, Python or MicroPython.
- Basic understanding of microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico W.
- Knowledge of GPIO, UART, I2C/SPI and sensors.
- Basic understanding of MQTT, JSON and networking.
- Interest in electronics, embedded systems and hardware troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to industrial/customer locations when required.
- Academic, personal, IoT, embedded, robotics or hackathon projects are a plus.
