Job summary

Amicorp Group in Bengaluru seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage general ledger, close books, and produce IFRS‑compliant financial statements. The role leads monthly and quarterly closes, prepares MIS reports, and supports statutory audits and regulatory filings.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in finance, CA Inter/ICWA inter or final, and excellent Excel with proficiency in accounting platforms.

Qualifications

  • University degree with 5–8 years post‑qualification experience in the fund/financial industry.
  • Excellent Excel knowledge; experience with Finance/Accounting platforms.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivables, accounts payable, banking and general ledger.
  • Understanding of accounting standards and regional principles.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of regional languages preferred.
  • Strong client/stakeholder engagement skills; English fluency mandatory; other languages optional.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills; self‑motivated and time‑management‑proficient.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain General ledger and review Trial Balance on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules, MIS reports and audit schedules; responsible for statutory and internal audits, tax returns.
  • Prepare inputs for periodic statutory returns and all necessary periodic reports; ensure timely filing.
  • Reconcile statutory receivables and payables on a periodic basis.
  • Hold good accounting knowledge, control and review day‑to‑day accounting, online maintenance of books, periodic reconciliation of accounts.
  • Finalize the books of accounts under high‑pressure environments and mandatory deadlines.
  • Supervise invoicing, accruals, and billings; review and monitor monthly billing vs accrual.
  • Produce monthly financial statements (de‑consolidated and consolidated) in compliance with IFRS, and finalize quarterly and annual financials.
  • Ensure monthly closing and other mandatory MIS reports.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory provisions of various laws.
  • Analyze reports such as SO Report, Budget vs Actual and provide reasoning.
  • Drive financial parameters with commercial control discipline across the business.
  • Perform other day‑to‑day departmental activities including ledger scrutiny.
  • Prepare annual budget and variance analysis of Budget vs Actual for group management.
  • Co‑ordinate with Local Management Team (LMT) and Account Managers (AM) to resolve issues and obtain information.
  • Ensure 24‑hour response and follow‑up where needed.
  • Make operational decisions for respective regions (e.g., quality issues for QM).
  • Review G/L for recurring issues (eg. Suspense Accounts) and close gaps.
  • Review mandatory reports, budgets and trial balance.
  • Adhere to delivery deadlines for invoicing and MIS reports.
  • Co‑ordinate with collections and address MIS/reports queries.
  • Prepare financial statements/MIS reports as required by the regional office.
  • Prepare regional budgets.
  • Meet regularly with the Group Controller.
  • Plan, organise and manage the team and activities.
  • Set road‑maps for the team and ensure effective communication.

  • Meet all daily and weekly deliverables, adhere to deadlines, and ensure error‑free quality.
Other Duties
  • Assume roles such as director, trustee, nominee, manager, partner, secretary, authorized signatory in internal or client entities of Amicorp Group, as required.
  • Perform other duties mandated by Management or HR.
