Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to support our data and analytics team. This role offers hands‑on exposure to real‑world healthcare data and business problems. The intern will assist in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support operational efficiency, product improvements, and strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and processing data from multiple structured and unstructured sources
- Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and ad‑hoc analyses for internal stakeholders
- Help maintain and optimize data pipelines to ensure data consistency and standardization
- Work with databases to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data as per reporting requirements
- Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets related to healthcare usage and engagement
- Visualize data using charts, graphs, cohorts, heat maps, and other analytical techniques
- Collaborate with senior analysts and cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements
- Document data definitions, assumptions, and metadata standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and problem‑solving approaches
- Working knowledge of SQL/MySQL (queries, joins, basic schema understanding)
- Basic proficiency in Python for data analysis (pandas, numpy preferred)
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Understanding of data gathering, cleaning, and transformation techniques
- Basic awareness of data warehousing and ETL concepts
- Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good to Have
- Exposure to NoSQL databases
- Prior internship, academic project, or coursework involving data analysis
- Interest in healthcare, health‑tech, or analytics‑driven products
