Job summary

News Corp is seeking a Legal Intern to support its legal department in Bengaluru. The role involves drafting contracts, tracking contract processes, and coordinating with internal stakeholders on requests and reports for statutory audits.

The candidate will conduct legal research on corporate, IP, and employment laws, ensure compliance with regulatory changes, and assist with compliance training and POSH filings as needed.

Job Title: Legal Intern

Job Summary:

The incumbent plays a crucial role in supporting the legal department of our organization. This position involves drafting contracts, tracking contract process flow, meeting internal stakeholders and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Drafting: drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
2. Contract Files retention.
3. Contract Process Flow ownership – TAT’s , Contract Requisition Forms (CRF) creation and tracking.
4. Meeting internal stakeholders and noting their requests, prioritizing legal work and maintaining adequate reports for statutory audits in consultation with seniors.
5. Legal Research: Conduct research on various legal topics, including corporate law, intellectual property and employment laws.
6. Compliance: Internal BU policy changes, uploading and updating to be tracked annually.
7. Update and keep pace with changes in employment laws.
8. Compliance training: Maintaining the India calendar of all the compliance training and tracking the

completion status from employee master sheets on a regular basis.

1. POSH Filings: Timely record all the POSH filings with statutory bodies in consultation with seniors.
2. Vendor review: As per the company guidelines and basis instructions perform vendor checks on an

adhoc basis.

Job Requirements:

1. Education: LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a reputable institution.
2. Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a corporate law firm or in-house legal department.
3. Skills: Strong analytical, research, and drafting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
