Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in supplier data management, procurement, supply chain, or related roles.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement/data management tools.

  • Knowledge of data governance principles and supplier compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Review duplicates and merge suppliers, enriching data per Global requirements.
  • Become SME on supplier data and its impacts with business units.
  • Perform regular data validation and audits to maintain data integrity.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in supplier records.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams and support integrations.
  • Flag risks and raise improvements within Global Standard processes.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment of enhancements.
  • Generate reports on data quality, compliance status, and risk for stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to management on supplier data maintenance.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Analyst to join our Global Business Services team at WSP.com. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that supplier data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations. They will typically work within procurement, supply chain, or finance departments and focus on cleansing and enriching the integrity of supplier records, enabling efficient supplier management, purchasing processes, and risk mitigation.

The role involves ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of supplier
data within the organization’s ERP or procurement systems. This role will lead the
cleansing of supplier records as we work towards a Global set of supplier data.

Responsibilities
  • Review and take action steps on duplicate suppliers to merge suppliers and enrich data in line with Global requirements.
  • Become a Subject matter expert on Supplier data and it’s impacts with the business and other departments i.e Accounts Payable
  • Perform regular data validation, auditing to ensure data integrity is maintained in line with Global requirements.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in supplier records, including duplications, outdated information, or incomplete data.
  • Collaboration with Procurement and Supply Chain Teams:
  • Work with data conversion teams on Integrations and new countries coming onto Horizon to ensure consistency and quality of data. Identify gaps and make recommendations of potential solutions.
  • Flag and elevate potential risks, such as non-compliant or high-risk suppliers, to the appropriate teams for further action.
  • Raise opportunities where improvements can be made with in the Global Standard process.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment of enhancements when required.
  • Generate reports on supplier data quality, compliance status, and risk assessments for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of supplier data maintenance activities.
Qualifications

Key Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in supplier data management, procurement, supply chain, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), procurement systems, and data management tools.
  • Strong data and management skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and supplier compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience with supplier or vendor management in a large organization.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations (e.g., tax laws, trade compliance, environmental standards).
  • Familiarity with automation tools for data processing (e.g., RPA - Robotic Process Automation).
  • Experience with data reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.

  • Detail-Oriented: Ensure that supplier data is accurate and up-to-date, paying close attention to data consistency and quality.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams (procurement, finance, supply chain) and external suppliers.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to supplier data and take corrective actions promptly.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and effective interaction with internal teams and external suppliers.
