Job summary

Studio Nirmaan Interior Architects is a Mumbai-based design studio delivering functional, high-quality spaces across residential, commercial, hospitality, and healthcare sectors. The Interior Designer will develop concepts, create layouts, and prepare construction drawings for on-site execution.

You will collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors, meeting clients to understand requirements, and producing mood boards, 3D visuals, and detailed documentation to ensure design intent

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design and Architecture skills to develop concepts and translate them into cohesive spatial solutions.
• Space Planning expertise to optimize layouts for functionality, flow, accessibility, and user experience.
• Proficiency in Construction Drawings, including detailed plans, sections, and elevations suitable for implementation on site.
• FF&E knowledge, including furniture selection, fixtures, equipment, materials, and finishes aligned with project budgets and design standards.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) and presentation tools (PowerPoint, InDesign).
• Strong visual design sense, attention to detail, and ability to work with color, texture, lighting, and materials.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, site teams, and vendors.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, and prior experience in interior projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Mumbai. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, create detailed layouts, and prepare construction and presentation drawings for projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, and healthcare sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and collaborating with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is executed. The role involves meeting with clients, understanding functional and aesthetic requirements, preparing mood boards and 3D visualizations, and supporting project documentation and site supervision as needed.
