Job summary

Wewia is seeking an interior designer in Hubli, Karnataka, with a Bachelor's or Diploma in Interior Design. The role involves creating 2D layouts and 3D designs for residential projects, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring practical and aesthetically appealing designs.

With a preference for candidates having up to 13 years of experience in modular kitchen design, freshers with robust design skills are also welcome.

Role & responsibilities

• Understand clients' requirements, lifestyle, preferences, and budget.
• Create 2D layouts, 3D designs, and detailed interior concepts for residential projects.
• Design modular kitchens, wardrobes, and other interior spaces.
• Prepare furniture layouts, elevations, and design presentations.
• Develop designs based on site measurements and available space.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Production, Procurement, and Site Execution teams.
• Make design modifications based on client feedback.
• Present designs and explain materials, finishes, layouts, and functionality to clients.
• Prepare design-related details required for quotations and production.
• Conduct site visits and verify measurements when required.
• Ensure designs are practical, functional, aesthetically appealing, and suitable for execution.
• Maintain project design files and update drawings according to project requirements.
• Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials, finishes, and hardware.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• 13 years of experience in interior design/modular kitchen design preferred.
• Freshers with relevant education and strong design skills may also apply.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Enscape, or other 3D design software will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of modular kitchen, wardrobe, furniture, materials, and hardware.
• Good knowledge of space planning, measurements, and basic design principles.
• Strong communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a practical approach to design.
