Job summary

Hair Rap By Yoyo is seeking an Interior Designer for a full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad. You will design and refine salon interiors to reflect a trendsetting, holistic hairdressing experience, focusing on space planning, layouts, and cohesive brand environments for clients and staff.

Responsibilities include developing design concepts, creating drawings/material boards, coordinating with architects/contractors, and selecting furniture and equipment that embody the salon’s identity.

Qualifications

• Plan and organize interior spaces with strong space planning
• Collaborate with architectural/construction teams on projects
• Prepare and interpret construction drawings (layouts, details, specs)
• Select FF&E to reflect brand identity
• Hold a diploma/degree in interior design, architecture or related field
• Use design software (AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit) and 3D visualization
• Balance aesthetics with functionality in commercial spaces
• Communicate effectively and manage on-site vendors/contractors
• Experience designing retail or salon environments is advantageous

Role Description

The Interior Designer will be responsible for designing and enhancing the salon’s interior spaces to reflect the brand’s creative, trendsetting identity. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, focusing on space planning, layout optimization, and creating functional, aesthetically aligned environments for clients and staff. Daily responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing drawings and material boards, coordinating with architects and contractors, and selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment that align with the salon’s brand. The role also involves overseeing implementation on-site, ensuring quality execution, managing timelines, and collaborating closely with the salon leadership to maintain a cohesive and memorable client experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan and organize interior spaces effectively, with strong skills in Space Planning and Interior Design.
• Knowledge of Architecture principles and experience collaborating with architectural and construction teams.
• Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings, including layouts, details, and technical specifications.
• Experience in FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and materials that reflect brand identity.
• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools) and familiarity with 3D visualization.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to balance aesthetics with functionality in commercial spaces.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site and manage vendors and contractors.
• Experience designing retail or salon environments is an advantage.
