Responsibilities

Design and develop Air Intake System and Exhaust System components using CATIA V5/V6.
Create 3D models, assemblies, 2D drawings, and design documentation.
Conduct packaging studies, interference checks, and feasibility assessments.
Collaborate with CAE, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams.
Support product development from concept to production release.
Prepare and manage ECR/ECN and maintain BOMs.
Ensure designs meet customer specs, industry standards, and manufacturing needs.
Participate in DFMEA, design reviews and technical discussions.
Support prototype builds, validation, and production launches.
Coordinate with suppliers and customers to address design improvements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Design Engineer with experience in Air Intake Systems and Exhaust Systems within the Automotive industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in CATIA and be responsible for designing, developing, and releasing automotive components and assemblies while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

This role requires hands-on experience in product design, CAD modeling, packaging studies, BOM management, engineering change implementation, and coordination with manufacturing and validation teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Air Intake System and Exhaust System components using CATIA V5/V6.
Create 3D models, assemblies, 2D manufacturing drawings, and detailed design documentation.
Perform packaging studies, interference checks, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design feasibility assessments.
Work closely with CAE, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams during product development.
Support product development activities from concept through production release.
Prepare and maintain Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.
Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing requirements.
Participate in DFMEA, Design Reviews, and technical discussions.
Support prototype development, validation builds, and production launches.
Collaborate with suppliers and customers to address design-related concerns and improvements.
