Job summary

Sonata Software in Bengaluru seeks a strong webMethods integration specialist to design, develop and support integrations across Universal Messaging and API Gateway. The role requires hands-on AWS EC2 exposure, VPN knowledge, and openness to learn additional integration technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of webMethods integration platform.
• Experience with Universal Messaging and API Gateway.
• Working knowledge of AWS, especially EC2 and VPNs.
• Exposure to MFT technology or ETL tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, administer and support integrations on the webMethods platform.
• Administer, configure Universal Messaging and API Gateway components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust, scalable integration solutions.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and seamless data flow between systems.
• Make informed operational decisions to maintain service continuity (e.g., server restarts, workarounds, fixes).
• Lead utilities and frameworks that automate and simplify existing functionality and environment checks.
• Perform ongoing support activities, including monitoring, incident triage, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements.
• Work flexible IST hours (no night shift) with rotational weekend/holiday support.

This project focuses on Integration Platform webMethods, universal messaging & API Gateway Development,Support & Maintenance and Administration.

Technology greenlighting is a constant focus of the customer and hence technology upgrades & refinements are a common phenomenon.

Cross-skilling/skill upgrade is a culture that’s followed in the project.

The candidate should be technically strong and should be willing to work on multiple integration technologies.

Exposure to multiple technologies is an added benefit to the team.

Role

Strong understanding of webmethods integration platform.

Proficiency with webMethods, including Universal Messaging and API Gateway.

Working knowledge of AWS, particularly EC2 instances, Virtual private networks and gateways.

Experience with any Managed File Transfer (MFT) technology & ETL tool is preferred.

Willingness to learn and work with additional integration technologies.

Ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.
