Job summary

Virtusa in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced MuleSoft Architect/Lead to drive integration initiatives and lead a development team. You will design and implement API integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, collaborate across teams, ensure security and performance, and guide best practices for scalable enterprise connectivity.

The role requires 7–10 years in the field, with 4+ years focused on MuleSoft development and a strong background in API design, CI/CD, and cloud/DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of work experience in technical roles.
• 4+ years of core MuleSoft development, administration, and support experience.
• Lead a team or guide junior developers.
• Strong hands-on with security protocols such as Basic, OAuth, and client certificates.
• Experience with MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform components: API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Studio.
• Experience with MuleSoft connectors: Request, FTP, Mail, Databases (SQL/Oracle), web services listener, Queue, HTTP client, SOAP/REST.
• Experience integrating large Enterprise applications like SAP (OData, ALE, IDOC, RFC).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for code migration.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
• DataWeave programming skills.
• Proficiency in Java or other languages used in MuleSoft development.
• Cloud and DevOps experience is a plus.
• Alerts and events framework familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor API endpoints and integrations on MuleSoft & SnapLogic to ensure availability, reliability, and performance.
• Respond to alerts, investigate issues, and resolve problems promptly.
• Develop new integrations based on project requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for API endpoints, integrations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Ensure best practices for sustainable, reusable API design, security, and performance.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as upgrades, patch management, and capacity planning.
• Willing to work in shifts and coordinate across time zones.
• Ensure delivery tasks are completed within timelines.
