Role & responsibilities

We are looking for Integration Manager API Specialist with 10+ years of experience to lead and shape product strategies and solutions, out of which a minimum of 5+ years in leading the Technology Stream, relevant to the latest technology trends, in a startup or amid-sized IT Product company. Preferably experience with 5+years of experience in leading, developing, and scaling engineering teams preferably in BFSI/ Banks and related domains.

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
    • Understanding business needs and translating them into clear, concise, and detailed functional and technical requirements.
    • Arriving on the API specifications enabling integrations of two or more systems
  • System Design and Implementation:
    • Collaborating with developers and architects to design and implement APIs towards insurance products and processes.
    • Participating in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Project Management:
    • Managing multiple teams of both insurance and external entities so as to enable the technical implementation of the APIs
    • Developing project plans, timelines, and dependencies.
    • Monitoring project progress and reporting on status.
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Providing expertise on health insurance products, processes, and regulations.
    • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies.
    • Being a liaison between the business and technical teams.
Essential Skills:
  • Insurance Domain Knowledge:
    • Understanding of health insurance products and knowledge of health insurance processes (e.g., underwriting, claims, policy administration).
    • Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Good to moderate understanding of APIs and web services
    • Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
    • Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL).
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Project Management Skills:
    • Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration with Insurance background
  • 5-7 years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in a role that combines technical and business responsibilities.
  • Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) can be beneficial.
  • Experience working with insurance software platforms, APIs and multiple integration projects.
