Job summary
Saint Gobain is seeking an instrumentation technician to perform maintenance and calibration of field instruments and servo drives. The role covers PLC/DCS applications, VFDs, and integration with various sensors and transmitters on industrial sites.
The incumbent will participate in commissioning and preventive maintenance planning, while adhering to international standards, 5S, and ISO systems to ensure safe, reliable operations.
Qualifications
- Maintenance of instrumentation systems and field devices.
- Calibration and commissioning of servo drives and field instruments.
- Experience with PLC and DCS applications in industrial setups.
- Knowledge of encoders and sensors (inductive, photoelectric).
- Familiar with transmitters for pressure, level, temperature and flow.
- Ability to plan preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Awareness of safety standards: 5S, ISO systems.
