Job summary

Zydus Lifesciences in Ankleshwar is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to provide uninterrupted plant power services and drive maintenance, QA SOP alignment, and safety compliance. The role requires 2–6 years of relevant experience and BE in Instrumentation or Electronics.

The incumbent will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, ensure safety norms, and uphold GMP guidelines while coordinating with cross-functional teams on engineering documentation and change controls.

Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer

Provide uninterrupted services to plant in term of power.

Carryout periodic preventive maintenance/ Calibration as perrespective SOP.

Maintain Safety standards.

Carryout corrective Breakdown maintenance as and when calledfor to restore proper functioning of the equipment in minimum time span.

Making sure that all the department procedure in line withthe requirements mentioned in for Quality Assurance SOP related to Engineering.

Maintain Good Housekeeping within the work area.

Assess the resource needs of the department and manpower.

Making sure that new and, when appropriate, modifiedfacilities and equipment are qualified.

Making sure that Safety procedure are updated and followed.

To review the deviation / incidences, Change Controlproposals for facility, equipment, equipment shifting and evaluate Validation /Qualification requirements through risk assessment.

Attending training programs as per the schedules provided.

Making sure to verify the Technical Agreements with theservice providers.

Preparation and review of SOP’s of Engineering departmentand ensure its compliance.

To review the executed protocols and related Qualification,Validation documents and related formats of Engineering, Manufacturing andAnalytical Instruments.

Preparation of job work-order related to work.

Ensure that changes to the existingprocess/procedures/systems are implemented through change management procedure.

Assessing the impact of the changes made in the existingprocedure/process/systems through of the cross functional areas through reviewof the change control.

To ensure that corrective and preventive actions areimplemented within the defined timeline.

Review and verification of all documents related toEngineering activities.

To ensure self and other department associates adherence touse of PPEs as per safety norms.

To follow the GMP, Safety norms and adhere to company’spolicy, Quality policy, Safety and Environmental Policy.

To operate various softwares namely TrackWise, Documentum,SAP, ZyTIMS for various QMS activities.

To participate in the safety rounds, escalate the safetyrelated incidents and perform required investigations and ensure implementationof the required CAPA for mitigation.

To participate and represent Engineering in internal,customer and regulatory audits

To ensure trainings requirements of the subordinates,allocation of the Job roles and Training need Identification and ensure thetraining fulfilments through ZyTIMS software.

To Adhere with EHS improvement plan, to conduct safety talk,Tool Box talks etc. on the shop floor.

Focus for improvement in day to day activity in complianceof cGMP and Safety.

To have Awareness about Energy Conservation like Electricity,water, manpower etc.

To delegate the activities to the respective deputy inabsence.

To elevate any issues related to discipline, availabilityof manpower, hygiene, contamination, cross contamination, Incidents ordeviations, malfunctioning of equipment’s, any unusual observations, any safetyrisk or quality risk to next level or in absence further up.

To perform any other activities as assigned by HOD aftercompletion of the necessary trainings as applicable.
