Job summary

Accendra Health seeks an experienced Instructional Designer to lead the full lifecycle development of Global Learning & Development content, including ILT, eLearning, videos, and job aids. You will partner with managers to determine requirements and deliver learner-centered materials across the globe.

You will design accessible, engaging content aligned with adult learning theory and global brand standards, collaborating with Learning Technology and L&D leaders to drive impact and scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Education or Communication, or equivalent.
• 3+ years in instructional design or related field.
• Experience with online instructional strategies and methodologies.
• Proficient with Articulate, Storyline, Captivate, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate training interventions for accessibility and DEI.
• Create engaging, esthetically pleasing training programs and materials.
• Lead both ILT and eLearning content across global programs.
• Apply ADDIE and Agile instructional design methods.
• Ensure materials flow logically for instructor-led sessions.

The Instructional Designer will partner closely with the Manager, Learning Technology and Design and Global Learning & Development leader to determine requirements and build learning content for all levels of teammates and leaders across the globe (Virtual Instructor Led, In-Person Instructor Led, eLearning, Job Aids, Quick Reference Guides, Facilitator Guides, Participant Guides, Videos, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of developing adult learning programs and have a strong background in adult learning theory and instructional design principles/tools.Core ResponsibilitiesLearner ExperienceActs as the voice of the learners, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our efforts and helping the L&D team iterate and improve our learning technologies and design effortsDesigns, develops, and works to integrate training interventions that are optimized for accessibility and diversity, equity, and inclusion, utilizing a variety of learning modalities: on-demand, instructor-led, or hybrid learning across the companyEffectively utilizes instructional design methodologies, design standards, and tools tied to adult learning theory to create an overall learner experienceContent & Design ManagementUnderstands and implements instructional design standards and creates a consistent global learning brand standard guide that will be used with all global learning & development initiatives, learning programs, etc. across the companyProficient with using and guiding others in learning design and authoring tools such as Articulate, Rise/Storyline, Captivate, Synthesia, Camtasia, Vyond, Canva, etc. to create development content for learnersConduct needs assessments and evaluations to identify learning opportunities.Design and develop instructionally sound, engaging, and esthetically pleasing training programs and materials.For instructor-led programs you have designed, observe the training staff to ascertain that the materials flow logically, are accurate and the quality meets and/or exceeds the needs and expectations of the trainers/trainees.Incorporate both ADDIE and Agile instructional design methods.Capabilities & Experience NeededA bachelor's degree, preferably in Instructional Technology, Education or Communication; or equivalent experience.A minimum of three years of instructional design or related experience.Significant experience with online instructional strategies and methodologies.The drive and motivation to take full ownership of a project from development to implementation.The skill to extract the most salient points during research and convert them into a high-quality training program and/or other training material.The ability to incorporate graphic design elements and create esthetically pleasing materials.Experience using Articulate, Storyline, Captivate, or any other authoring tools.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.The ability to establish priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus and a team player approach.Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.Graphic design or marketing/advertising background a plus.Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or other graphic design software a plus.Experience with video and/or audio editing software a plus.Experience in a larger Global Learning and Development department a plus.Language SkillsEnglish (reading, writing, verbal)Additional InformationWill need to work 02 -11 PM shift to ensure coverage with U.S. time zones, some flexibility on start and end times will be needed to ensure project completion.If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.Accendra is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
