Qualifications

• 4+ years in instructional design or digital learning.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Design learning experiences aligned with objectives, pathways and instructional standards.
• Analyse source material and work with SMEs to understand required knowledge, skills and behaviours.
• Create detailed design documents, storyboards, scripts and content specifications.
• Design eLearning, virtual learning, instructor-led learning, self-directed learning, simulations, job aids and performance-support materials.
• Develop assessment approaches and questions in partnership with the Assessment Specialist.
• Translate complex information into clear, engaging learning experiences.
• Work with eLearning Developers and multimedia specialists to bring designs to life.
• Review content to ensure alignment with the approved instructional design.
• Incorporate feedback from SMEs, stakeholders and quality reviewers.
• Ensure accessibility, usability and inclusive design standards.
• Design for global audiences and support localisation where required.
• Apply programme templates, standards and design systems consistently.
• Use learner feedback and assessment data to improve learning experiences.
• Manage design workload and meet project milestones.
• Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the team's practice.

Instructional Designer – Global Learning

Location: Pune, India. Onsite

Reports to: Lead Instructional Designer

Works closely with: Content Development Project Managers, SMEs, eLearning Developers, Graphic Designers, Video/Media Specialists, Technical Writers and Assessment Specialists

The Role: We're looking for experienced Instructional Designers to design engaging, effective and scalable learning experiences for a large-scale global learning programme. Working within the Content Development Team, you'll translate learning objectives, source material and business requirements into practical learning experiences across a variety of formats and modalities. You'll work closely with SMEs and specialist content production teams to take learning solutions from initial design through development, review and final delivery. The learning environment supports global adult learners working in complex operational environments, so you'll need to be comfortable taking detailed or rapidly changing subject matter and turning it into learning that is clear, practical and focused on helping people perform effectively in their roles.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design learning experiences aligned with agreed learning objectives, pathways and instructional standards.

• Review developed content to ensure it accurately reflects the approved instructional design.
• Incorporate feedback from SMEs, stakeholders and quality reviewers.
• Ensure learning solutions meet agreed accessibility, usability and inclusive design standards.
• Design for global audiences and support localisation and adaptation where required.
• Apply programme templates, standards and design systems consistently.
• Use learner feedback, assessment results and other available data to improve learning experiences.
• Manage your own design workload effectively and meet agreed project milestones.
• Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the team's instructional design practice.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years' experience in instructional design, learning design or digital learning.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles.
• Experience designing digital, blended and/or instructor-led learning.
• Strong storyboarding and learning-content design skills.
• Experience working with SMEs
• Ability to translate detailed information into clear, engaging and practical learning.
• Understanding of assessment and learning-evaluation principles.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive learning design.
• Experience working with eLearning authoring and content-development teams.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in an environment where subject matter and requirements can change quickly.
• Experience designing learning for technology, customer operations, Trust & Safety, content moderation or other large-scale operational environments would be advantageous.
