LearningMate is seeking an Instructional Designer to drive the production of professional learning materials for educators and specialists, ensuring up-to-date content aligned with product implementations. The Instructional Designer drives the production of professional learning (PL) materials to enable our team to maximize learning impact. This position develops comprehensive and engaging PL materials to support educators with the implementation of products in the company portfolio
Develop PL materials to be used by professional learning specialists, preparing them
to deliver onsite and virtual PL sessions. This includes the creation of new materials and also updating materials as products change, ensuring all PL specialists are kept up to date with the most current information
Build asynchronous, online PL content to support educators with the implementation
of products in the company’s portfolio, including online courses, videos, etc., incorporating best practices in adult online learning
Incorporate best practices in adult learning theory in the design and production of all
PL materials, identifying skill gaps and formulating learning objectives with actionable materials to deliver results
Work with PL content design team members and create clear, concise, and accurate
PL materials for PL specialists and educators, for onsite, virtual, and asynchronous deliver
y Contribute to the production process with video and marketing teams to develop and update PL materials
Establish an environment of problem-solving while maintaining discipline, productivity, and accountability.
Engage in meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product management, field teams, curriculum experts, platform developers, and other subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop high-quality PL materials
Drive field communication and enablement to internal teams to ensure they are prepared
to deliver comprehensive and engaging PL events
Other duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in education and a minimum of 5 years of experience in K-12 EdTech professional development, and/or adult learning; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design with PL materials for K-12educators; strong drive to stay current on PL trends to inform PL materials.
Ability to adjust interaction style to a range of audiences and ensure the insights, ideas, & amp; expertise is expressed & considered.
Experience with AI tools and workflows, video scripts, video production, and online courses to develop asynchronous PL content.
Must enjoy a challenging work environment that requires flexibiliy, self-direction, creativity, and strong communication skills.
