Job summary

PEHRAA in Ludhiana is hiring an Installation Technician to set up security sensor systems at homes, shops, and facilities. You will install hardware, configure connectivity, and ensure every system works from day one.

The role includes installing door/window contacts, motion detectors, glass-break sensors, and smoke/gas detectors; setting up WiFi and 4G backup; testing sensors; and briefing customers on operation. A hands-on, customer-facing problem-solver is ideal.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience installing CCTV systems, internet/networking setup, or computer hardware installation.
• Minimum qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary).
• Own a two-wheeler for daily travel across the city.
• Comfortable working independently at customer sites.
• Good communication skills to explain the system to customers.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure door/window contacts, motion detectors, glass-break sensors, and smoke/gas detectors at customer sites

• Test every sensor and confirm proper communication with the monitoring platform before closing out a job
• Walk customers through how their system works and answer basic questions on-site
• Handle routine maintenance visits — battery replacement, sensor troubleshooting, connectivity fixes
• Maintain accurate installation and service records for each site visited
• Coordinate daily site schedules with the operations team

About the Role

What You Need

• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and networking/WiFi setup
• Must own a two-wheeler — daily travel between customer sites across the city is a core part of this role
• Comfortable working independently at customer sites
• Good communication skills — you'll be explaining the system directly to customers
• Problem-solving mindset — every site is a little different

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with smart home devices, alarm systems, or IoT hardware
• Basic smartphone/app comfort for logging installations digitally
• ITI or diploma in Electrical/Electronics (not required, but a plus)
