Job summary

Tagid Solutions is seeking a field engineer to test, configure, install, and commission RFID hardware across client sites in India. You will coordinate with IT, facilities and warehouse teams during deployments, diagnose hardware and connectivity issues, and provide on-site troubleshooting and maintenance support.

The role requires hands-on hardware work, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in hardware installation, testing, troubleshooting, networking, or field support.
• Basic knowledge of IP configuration, Ethernet/Wi‑Fi connectivity, and troubleshooting.
• Comfortable with physical installation work, cabling, mounting and using tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to client locations across India.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with client and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Test RFID readers, antennas, tunnels, gateways, POS counters, and other hardware before dispatch.
• Configure devices, including network settings, firmware, RFID reader parameters, and gateway settings.
• Install and commission hardware at client sites, including mounting, wiring, power, and network setup.
• Coordinate with client IT, facilities, store, and warehouse teams during deployments.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and maintenance support.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, and technical escalations.
• Maintain service and configuration records for deployed equipment.
• Ensure all deployments are completed as per technical and quality standards

• Experience with POS hardware and peripherals.
• Exposure to retail, warehouse, or healthcare environments.
