Job summary

Emmes Group in Bengaluru seeks an Inside Sales Specialist to research and identify accounts that fit the ideal customer profile for our CRO and tech offerings. You will engage prospects to identify active buying opportunities and pre-qualify before handing it over to our sales teams, with a growth path and dedicated training.

This role is an early in career opportunity for biosciences and technology sales, requiring self-motivation and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in scientific or business field is preferred or required.
• 2-3 years sales and business development experience in CRO services and/or biomedical informatics.
• Experience with CRM and email campaigns in HubSpot (or similar).
• Proven ability to acquire clients and manage difficult situations.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with operations, scientific, and business staff.

Responsibilities

• Pitch the company’s capabilities and differentiate Emmes Group from competitors.
• Identify leads for new business opportunities and develop capture strategies.
• Identify stakeholders, build relationships, and gather customer insights.
• Follow up on leads from BI sources and marketing campaigns.

As an Inside Sales Specialist on our team, you will support Emmes Group by researching and identifying accounts that fit the ideal customer profile for our offerings. Through outreach efforts, you will engage prospects to identify active buying opportunities and pre‑qualify before handing it over to our sales teams. This is an early in career role with a dedicated growth path and the training to be a great biosciences and technology sales professional. We are looking for self‑starters with a passion for life sciences, clinical research, technology, and people.

Responsibilities

• Pitch the company’s capabilities and differentiate Emmes Group from competitors
• Implement processes to efficiently identify leads for new business opportunities and develop and execute capture strategy that align with Emmes Group’s capabilities and goals
• Identify customer stakeholders, build relationships, and gather customer insights
• Follow up on leads generated from business intelligence sources and marketing campaigns
• Establish, nurture, and grow client relationships to achieve objectives and quota
• Identify the right “win strategy” for individual opportunities and client partnerships
• Develop detailed understanding of our operations including capabilities, capacity, and timelines
• Participate in internal sales meetings, supporting sales reps and senior sales reps
• Support engagement and selling efforts across all offerings and solutions
• Use our CRM tool to manage and document communications and client information
• Help request and guide execution of non‑disclosure agreements (NDA)
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends as well as competitive posture of the company
• Prepare activity and forecast reports
• Support BD team ahead of sales event and Conferences in terms of pre‑event reach out.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree scientific or business field preferred Required
• 2-3 years sales and business development experience in CRO services and/or biomedical informatics and data science sciences
• Experience in CRM, Dynamics, managing email campaigns in HubSpot (or similar platforms).
• Demonstrated ability to acquire clients, as well as manage difficult situations
• Strong working relationships with internal operations, scientific, and business staff
• Effective presentation, documentation, and interpersonal/teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and provide a high level of responsiveness and timely service on a day-to-day basis as well as balancing the unexpected needs of the company and clients as they arise
• Demonstrated organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
• Strong written, verbal, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage prospects and build client relationships.
• Ability to research, identify, and qualify new business opportunities in life sciences and technology sectors.
• Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent presentation, documentation, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with internal sales, operations, and scientific teams.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess opportunities, develop “win strategies,” and respond to client needs.
