Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Mumbai seeks a Specialist, Supply Chain Operations (Solution Design) to design end-to-end warehousing and contract logistics solutions, including automation, for new and existing customers.

You will conduct data analytics, process mapping, and operations planning to improve productivity, profitability, and service levels across sites.

The role requires strong analytical and presentation skills, with MBA and 10+ years in contract logistics.

Qualifications

• MBA in a relevant field, preferably in business.
• 10+ years of directly related contract logistics ( warehousing ) or supply chain experience.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end warehousing and contract logistics solutions, automation for new and existing customers.
• Experience in solution design, data analytics, process analysis, operations planning, productivity and accuracy improvement to support operations performance and profitability.
• Designing customers RFQ’s for new and existing customers.
• Conduct operational assessments, data analysis, and process mapping to develop optimized logistics solutions.
• Prepare warehouse layouts, resource planning models, storage strategies, and operational workflows.
• Develop cost models, Commercial designing, pricing assumptions, and business cases for customer proposals.
• Support business development teams during customer presentations, site visits, and solution discussions.
• Evaluate and recommend automation and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify productivity improvement opportunities through operational analysis and benchmarking.
• Develop and monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality, service levels, cost, safety, and inventory accuracy.
• Drive standardization of processes and implementation of best practices across sites.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for operational issues.

The Specialist, Supply Chain Operations (Solution Design) is a position responsible for designing end-to-end warehousing and contract logistics solutions, automation for new and existing customers. The Specialist is responsible for solution design, data analytics, process analysis, operations planning, productivity and accuracy improvement, to support overall operations performance & profitability enhancement in supply chain business.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design end-to-end warehousing and contract logistics solutions, automation for new and existing customers.
• Someone with experience in solution design, data analytics, process analysis, operations planning, productivity and accuracy improvement, to support overall operations performance & profitability enhancement in supply chain business.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE

Academic

• Minimum qualification required is MBA in relevant field, preferably in business.

Experience & Knowledge

• 10+ years of directly related contract logistics (Warehousing ) or supply chain experience.
• Involves the application of knowledge which may include providing advice to employees, management, or customers, managing, or maintaining systems or processes or completing projects to develop or changing systems or processes at warehouse as appropriate.
