Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Manager – Supply Chain Operations to lead and manage end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations across warehousing, transportation, distribution, inventory management, 3PL operations, and customer service.

The ideal candidate should have 12–15 years of strong experience in supply chain operations, with significant exposure to 3PL and third-party contract logistics environments. The candidate will be responsible for managing large-scale operations, multiple warehouses/DCs, logistics partners, manpower, transportation networks, service providers, Region P&L , and customer relationships.

The role requires a strong combination of strategic thinking and hands‑on operational leadership, with the ability to drive operational excellence, cost optimization, process improvement, service‑level adherence, technology adoption, and continuous improvement.

The candidate will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, transporters, 3PL partners, vendors, and other external service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Operations
  • Manage and oversee end-to-end supply chain operations covering warehousing & Transportation .
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business requirements, customer expectations, and company objectives.
  • Monitor operational performance across warehouses, distribution centers, transport operations.
  • Ensure achievement of agreed SLA, KPI, OTIF, productivity, quality, cost, and customer service targets.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Establish standardized operating processes across locations and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of warehouse space, manpower, material handling equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Drive warehouse productivity through appropriate manpower planning, process design, layout optimization, slotting, and workflow improvements.
  • Establish and monitor warehouse productivity metrics.
  • Ensure accurate inventory records and minimize inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, security, and operational standards.
  • Support warehouse expansion, relocation, consolidation, and new facility implementation projects.
  • Ensure effective management of warehouse assets and material handling equipment.
  • Own and monitor operational logistics costs across warehousing, transportation, manpower, packaging, handling, and other logistics activities.
  • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets for supply chain operations.
  • Analyze actual versus budgeted costs and identify deviations.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising service levels.

  • Technology & Digital Supply Chain
  • Identify opportunities for automation and technology‑led process improvements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and system discipline across supply chain operations.
  • Work with IT teams to implement enhancements, integrations, dashboards, and automation.
  • Leverage analytics and operational data to improve decision‑making.
  • Promote real‑time visibility of inventory, orders, shipments, and logistics performance.
  • Support implementation of digital supply chain solutions.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent service delivery.
  • Handle critical customer escalations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular operational reviews with key customers.
  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into actionable operational processes.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders including:
  • Ensure effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
Vendor & Commercial Management
  • Manage commercial relationships with logistics vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, SLAs, and commercial terms.
  • Validate vendor invoices against agreed rates and actual service delivery.
  • Ensure proper governance over additional charges, claims, penalties, and recoveries.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance and commercial reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and strategic sourcing.
  • Support procurement/commercial teams during logistics tenders and contract negotiations.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable logistics regulations.
  • Implement robust operational controls across warehouses and transportation.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
  • Conduct periodic operational and safety audits.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Establish business continuity and contingency plans for critical logistics operations.
  • Ensure proper incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action.
  • Team Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply chain, warehouse, logistics, and operations professionals.
  • Manage both direct employees and outsourced/contract manpower.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, objectives, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training and development requirements.
  • Build a strong performance‑oriented culture.
  • Improve employee productivity, engagement, and retention.
  • Develop succession plans for critical operational positions.
  • Ensure adequate manpower planning based on business volumes and operational requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
