We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Lead who can take ownership of setting up, managing, and optimizing our production and local development environments—specifically within VDI setups. The candidate will support a fully cloud-based web application built using Python, Django, and modern DevOps tooling. They will act as the go-to expert for all infrastructure-related questions across the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Environment Setup & Management

• Architect and implement production infrastructure for a cloud-based Django application (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ensure consistent dev/prod parity using Docker, virtualization, IaC, or automation.

2. DevOps & CI/CD

• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows (GitLab CI/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins).
• Automate deployment pipelines for backend, frontend, and any supporting services.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible).
• Set up and optimize:
  • Compute (VMs, containers, serverless)
  • Networking (VPC, subnets, firewalls, DNS)
  • Storage (block, object, DB backups)
  • Databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redis)
  • Monitoring & logging (Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor)
• Ensure high availability, auto-scaling, failover, backup & disaster recovery.

4. Security & Compliance

• Implement secure access patterns in VDI.
• Manage secrets (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault).
• Harden servers, containers, and cloud configurations.
• Define policies for RBAC, IAM, least privilege, and secure deployments.

5. Troubleshooting & Support

• Be the central expert for all infra-related queries from development teams.
• Debug network, environment, deployment, and cloud issues.
• Optimize performance across the platform (database, caching, API scaling).

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years in infrastructure or DevOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid understanding of Python/Django deployment patterns.
• Deep expertise in Linux, virtualization, and containerization (Docker/K8s).
• Experience with VDI environments (Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Terraform/Ansible, and cloud networking.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Cloud-native monitoring).
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with FinOps, cost optimization, and cloud spend monitoring.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, or serverless.
• Exposure to security compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001).
