Job summary

通用磨坊股份有限公司 in Mumbai is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead migration and modernization of Oracle databases to the public cloud. You will administer Oracle Database 19c in a 24/7 environment, focusing on Data Guard, ASM, Linux, and automation with shell/Python.

You will own migration processes, develop tooling, and ensure cloud security while partnering with application teams in an Agile setting to reduce risk and improve operational reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering, designing, modernizing, or migrating enterprise Oracle databases.
• Oracle Database 19c, Data Guard, ASM, Linux, and shell scripting and/or Python.
• HA/DR, backup and recovery, tuning, and production support.
• Cloud experience with OCI or other cloud platforms; security and governance.
• Automation and DevOps: provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle operations.
• Strong Linux experience; Windows Server is beneficial.
• DevOps and Agile practices; proofs of concept.
• Service-oriented DB services and self-service provisioning.
• Soft skills: communication, collaboration, customer-focused.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 5+ years administering, designing, modernizing, or migrating enterprise Oracle databases.
• Core Technical Skills: Oracle Database 19c; Data Guard primary-standby; ASM; Linux; and shell scripting and/or Python.
• High Availability and Recovery: Experience with HA, DR, backup and recovery, tuning, and production support.
• Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud adoption, security, governance, and integration.
• Automation and DevOps: Experience automating provisioning, support, monitoring, and lifecycle operations.
• Operating Systems: Strong Linux experience; Windows Server is beneficial.
• Engineering Practices: Working knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices and proofs of concept.
• Service Orientation: Experience designing user-centric database services, including self-service provisioning.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills; flexible, reliable, self-starting, and customer focused.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Experience with OCI and cloud-based Oracle database services.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform experience for OCI provisioning and automation.
• Automation Tooling: Ansible, GitHub, or similar tooling; Python or shell scripting.
• Additional Experience: Agile methods and cross-platform database experience.
