Job summary

Cognizant in India seeks a Senior Software Engineer to tackle Java fullstack remediation tasks, focusing on SVA/DVA/SCA and container findings across AWS-driven projects. Strong coding, CI/CD, and automation scripting are required.

You'll work with AI-assisted development tools to expedite fixes and upgrades in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java/Spring Boot and Angular or ReactJS.
• Experience with AWS (CloudFormation, containers).
• Experience with SAST/DAST-style remediation (SVA/DVA) and dependency upgrades.
• Strong CI/CD and automated testing background.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate fixes and automation scripts.

Responsibilities

• Remediate static (SVA) and dynamic (DVA) findings requiring code changes.
• Build automated upgrade/refactor scripts for dependency (SCA) and container vulnerabilities.
• Fix CloudFormation issues flagged by Wiz IaC Scan.
• Build regression-testing harnesses to validate fixes don’t break functionality.
• Partner with Automation Engineer to productionize fixes into pipelines.

Role Summary

Senior engineer to handle the more complex, code-intensive remediation flagged by SVA (static), DVA (dynamic), SCA, and container scans across the Java/Angular/ReactJS portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Remediate static (SVA) and dynamic (DVA) findings requiring actual code changes - insecure patterns, broken auth, injection risks, etc.
• Build automated upgrade/refactor scripts for dependency (SCA) and container-based image vulnerabilities
• Fix CloudFormation issues flagged by Wiz IaC Scan
• Build regression-testing harnesses to validate that fixes don't break functionality
• Partner with the Automation Engineer to productionize fixes into pipelines
