Informatica BDM Administration: Install, configure, and administer Informatica Big Data Management (BDM) / Data Engineering Integration (DEI).
Manage Informatica Domain, Repository, and Integration Services.
Configure and maintain BDM clusters and Big Data services.
Perform migrations (Dev, QA, Prod) and deployments.
Monitor workflows, sessions, and cluster performance.
Handle patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance.
Big Data & Hadoop Integration: Integrate Informatica BDM with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, YARN).
Manage connectivity with big data platforms (Cloudera, Hortonworks, AWS EMR).
Support execution of Spark-based mappings and pushdown processing.
Troubleshoot issues related to cluster connectivity and job execution.
Performance & Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and optimize BDM jobs and services.
Analyze logs and resolve failures across workflows and mappings.
Implement best practices for performance tuning and resource utilization.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
UNIX / Linux Support: Work extensively on Unix/Linux systems for administration and job monitoring.
Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation.
Manage file systems, permissions, and batch job execution.
Production Support: Provide L2/L3 support for BDM/Big Data environments.
Handle incident management, alerts, and SLA adherence.
Ensure high availability and reliability of ETL and big data pipelines.
Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with ETL developers, data engineers, and cloud teams.
Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
Follow change management and release processes.
