Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Informatica and Hadoop Administrator to join our big data engineering team. You will manage Informatica domains, services, and repositories, and maintain the Hadoop ecosystem including HDFS, YARN, and Hive for large-scale data processing.

The role requires 5–9 years of hands-on experience with Informatica BDM/BDE, ETL concepts, SQL, HiveQL, Linux/Unix, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and monitoring tools will be a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of experience in Informatica Administration + Hadoop Administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica BDM / Big Data Edition (BDE) and the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Hive).
• Experience managing Informatica domains, services, and repositories.
• Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and big data processing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of cluster management tools (Cloudera, Hortonworks, Ambari).
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in SQL and HiveQL.

Strong hands-on experience with: Informatica BDM / Big Data Edition (BDE) Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Hive) Experience managing Informatica domains, services, and repositories. Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and big data processing frameworks. Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting. Experience with Spark or other big data processing frameworks. Knowledge of Kafka or streaming technologies. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, GCP Dataproc). Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. Exposure to Informatica PowerCenter / IICS. Understanding of data lake and lakehouse architecture. Knowledge of monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, ELK).
