Job summary

Infosys is seeking an Informatica Administrator in Bengaluru to manage DEV/TEST/PROD environments, perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching, and monitor performance across the platform.

Responsibilities include backup/recovery planning, security and user access management, and collaborating with ETL teams to resolve issues; familiarity with Docker is a plus. On-call production support is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Informatica administration experience across DEV/TEST/PROD environments.
• Proficient in installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of Informatica components.
• Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning Informatica services, workflows, and sessions.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and DR for Informatica repositories and configs.
• Managing users, roles, folders and access controls in Informatica.
• Familiar with environment migrations and change management processes.
• Automation of routine admin tasks via scripts; containerization is a plus.
• Maintain architecture docs, runbooks and operation SOPs.

Job description

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience as an Informatica Administrator managing multi-environment setups (DEV/TEST/PROD).
• Strong expertise in Informatica administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management.
• Proven experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Informatica services, workflows, and sessions.
• Solid understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for Informatica repositories and configurations.
• Experience with user and security management within Informatica (roles, privileges, folders, and access controls).
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams and providing clear, structured communication.
• Relevant Informatica Admin certification (as specified) or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Informatica platform components (Domain, Repository, Integration Services, etc.) across environments.
• Administer and maintain Informatica services, including user management, security, folders, and permissions in line with organizational standards.
• Monitor platform health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks, failures, and capacity issues.
• Manage environment migrations (DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD), including deployment of objects, patches, and hotfixes following change management processes.
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for Informatica repositories and configuration, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Collaborate with ETL and data engineering teams to troubleshoot workflow/session failures, connectivity issues, and performance problems.
• Optimize ETL jobs and workflows by tuning configurations, session parameters, and resource allocations.
• Implement and enforce security and compliance policies for Informatica environments, including audit and access controls.
• Automate routine administrative tasks (monitoring, restarts, deployments) using scripts and, where applicable, containerization tools such as Docker.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, standard operating procedures, and runbooks for production support.
• Provide on-call and production support for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Partner with infrastructure teams on server, storage, and network requirements, and coordinate with vendors for product-related issues.
