Job summary

Alstom is seeking a full-time Industrial Quality Engineer in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In this role, you will ensure product quality compliance with both customer and internal specifications while collaborating with various teams.

All About You

• Education: Engineering degree.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years in industrial quality inspection / in-process quality from assembly-related manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with problem-solving tools – QRQC, 8D, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexible to work in shift pattern.

Your future role

• Take on a new challenge and apply your meticulous attention to detail and quality assurance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and detail-oriented teammates.
• You’ll ensure product quality compliance with both customer and internal specifications. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (manufacturing, engineering, customer service), perform inspections, and much more.
• You’ll specifically take care of qualifying manufacturing teams for self-inspection, managing workstation dynamic checklists, and ensuring the availability and compliance of the Car History Book before shipping.

We’ll look to you for:

• Performing product inspections and participating in customer inspections
• Qualifying manufacturing teams regarding self-inspection
• Managing workstation dynamic checklists (self-inspection & workstation inspection)
• Conducting workstation audits and follow-ups
• Managing internal NCRs and supporting the NCR team with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., QRQC)
• Ensuring compliance with APSYS requirements for industrial quality
