Job summary

Alstom in India seeks a quality engineer focused on nondestructive testing to support maintenance and manufacturing processes. You will evaluate improvement plans, deploy lean tools, and analyse KPIs.

The role involves supervising supplier interventions, promoting an on-site quality and safety culture, and applying 8D, PDCA, and QRQC methodologies to ensure railway systems meet high standards. Candidates should have hands-on UT/MT/VT experience.

Qualifications

• Industrial environment experience with quality activities.
• Familiar with 8D, PDCA, QRQC and quality inspection methodologies.
• Hands-on nondestructive testing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform effectiveness evaluation of improvement plans and process reviews via internal non-conformity analysis.
• Support deployment of lean manufacturing tools in maintenance per APSYS requirements.
• Collect data analysis for KPI improvements related to maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper animation methodology with Visual Management Tools on defect feedback loop.
• Supervise interventions of suppliers to ensure the quality of activities on trains.
• Promote a Quality and EHS culture on-site to meet business objectives.

• Support the deployment and implementation of lean manufacturing tools in maintenance according to APSYS(Alstom Performance System) requirements
• Collect data analysis for KPI improvement related to maintenance activities
• Ensure the proper animation methodology also with Visual Management Tools on defect feedback loop
• Supervising the interventions of suppliers in order to ensure the quality of their activities on trains
• Help to promote a Quality and EHS culture and behaviour on-site which enables the business to meet its objectives
