Description
Job Summary
  • This role is responsible for overseeing the daily manufacturing operations including production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization of a manufacturing facility to meet overall global business requirements. The role involves strategic planning, process optimization, team management, and collaboration with cross-functional departments. The role consults with business leaders to influence strategic decisions and manage manufacturing activities from a strategic level.
Responsibilities
  • Accounts for manufacturing operational activities for multiple, complex product lines, ensuring that performance meets the overall business needs.
  • Manages a team of senior-level exempt individual contributors and first level managers who typically support a complex regional/global business unit.
  • Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
  • Creates new operational efficiencies and cost savings within the operation on a broad scale, using process improvement.
  • Manages the manufacturing activities from a strategic level with internal and/ or external parties, ensuring that operations are achieving key business metrics.
  • Oversees the development and delivery of complex initiatives that can impact the supply chain globally, typically requiring the leadership of cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Allocates resources effectively to meet production demands and budgets.
  • Participates in hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
Education & Experience (Recommended)
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in manufacturing operations, supply chain, or a related field.
