Job summary

Eide Bailly, a leading business advisory firm, is expanding its Mumbai office and inviting applications for an Audit Associate (fresher or experienced) to serve US GAAP-based engagements for US-based clients. You will perform audit, review or compilation procedures, prepare financial statements, analyse balances, and support internal controls while collaborating with diverse teams across industries.

This is a hands-on role offering growth, exposure to international standards, and opportunities

Qualifications

• CA license or US CPA license (or passed the US CPA exam).
• Ability to work in the Eide Bailly Mumbai office.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Participating in client engagement meetings to determine timelines and objectives of an audit.
• Performing audit, review, and compilation procedures for clients in a variety of industries including employee benefit plans, commercial, non-profit, financial institutions, Healthcare, and/or government industry.
• Analyzing and preparing trial balances, complex financial statements and audit reports using audit software programs, Word, and Excel.
• Performing schedule computations of accruals, property, and equipment, calculates depreciation expenses and long-term debt schedules for clients.
• Reconciling accounting information to control accounts.
• Assisting with financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Assisting in proofing financial statements and other accounting documents.
• Maintaining awareness of general business trends and issues and apply that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
• Participating in training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
• Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
• Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Eide Bailly is looking for an Audit Associate (fresher or experienced) to join our growing India office. This role serves US-based clients (US GAAP) as an assurance and business advisory professional. The Audit Associate performs audit, review, or compilation procedures for US based clients. The ideal candidate will work with all phases of an engagement including workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation, and report preparation.

Required Qualifications For The Audit Associate Position Include

• Valid CA license or US CPA license (or passed the US CPA exam)
• Ability to work in the Eide Bailly Mumbai office.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Demonstrates critical and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
• Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• For experienced hires (non-freshers) with one or more years of audit experience in public accounting post-articleship, experience in the government, non-profit, healthcare, or financial institutions industries is required.

Preferred Qualifications For The Audit Associate Position Include

• Knowledge of US auditing standards and accounting principles (US GAAP).
