Job summary

The Hartford India in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and build scalable, maintainable software with a strong emphasis on full-stack capabilities. You will work on multi-tier applications using Java, Spring Boot, .NET and Angular, and mentor a growing team.

We expect 10+ years of experience in software development, hands-on expertise with RESTful APIs, microservices and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all parts of SDLC - Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment.

• Assist the Agile Scrum/Flow master and lead our team supporting multiple .Net applications.
• Estimate individual and group work effort for delivery of tasks.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, various stakeholders.
• Assist with estimating work requests.
• Support resolution of defects during application testing phases.
• Production support
• Mentor junior team members.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design and develop solutions that are scalable, easily maintainable and easy to use.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related disciple with a minimum of 6-9 years of work experience in IT.
• Strong programming skills in Web Technologies, data analysis and manipulation.
• The applicant must have 6-9 years of hands‑on experience:
• Frontend: Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Backend: Java, Spring Boot, .NET
• Architecture: RESTful APIs, Microservices
• Databases: SQL-based (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Version Control: Git
• Development Methodologies: Agile
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Strong verbal and written and communication skills.
• Experience in leading teams and delivering projects.
• Experience with DevSecOps and working with CI/CD pipelines and source control branching strategies.
• Experience with application performance testing and tuning
