Job summary

The Hartford India in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows using Informatica, with strong Oracle PL/SQL development skills for robust data pipelines powering reporting and analytics.

You will work in a reinsurance data environment, applying DevSecOps practices and exploring Generative AI tooling to enhance data quality and performance, collaborating with analysts, DBAs, and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 or more years of experience in application software solution development.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Informatica PowerCenter for building and maintaining ETL workflows.
• Advanced proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in complex SQL development, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with data integration across multiple source systems (databases, flat files, etc.).
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in Agile or iterative development environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams.

Responsibilities
