Job summary

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Bengaluru to design and implement scalable data-enabled platforms. You will build end-to-end pipelines on Google Cloud, leverage Spark and Airflow, and drive data quality and governance across diverse business domains.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions, optimize performance, and adopt emerging technologies that improve data processing capabilities and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Master's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
• 2–5 years of data engineering experience or related field.

What You'll Do

• Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions by leveraging advanced analytics and big data techniques.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and tools like Spark and Airflow.

What You'll Bring

• Extensive experience in data engineering, including designing and developing scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Proficiency with Big Data technologies such as Spark Core, PySpark, and Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery and Dataproc.
• Strong SQL programming skills and expertise in query optimization for efficient data processing.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques and tools to create logical and physical data models.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions aligned with strategic goals.
• Understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and regulatory compliance in data management.
