Job summary

Lowe's India in Bengaluru invites applications for the Analyst, Inventory Analytics role based at our on-site office. You will develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data assets to support the Replenishment and Demand Planning teams.

You will partner with stakeholders to fulfill data requests, deliver quick-turn analytics, and automate reporting solutions. Experience in SQL, Python, and BI tools is preferred.

About the Team

The Inventory Replenishment & Planning team ensures the right product, in the right quantity, in the right location, at the right time. It all starts with accurate sales forecasting. The Demand Planning team provides this forecast by analyzing trends and market intelligence, which guides inventory ordering and replenishment. The Inventory Replenishment team places orders based on the demand forecast adjusted for factors like safety stock, lead time, and current inventory. The Inventory Analytics team provides crucial data and insights to enhance inventory management, reduce costs, and boost profitability. They develop reports and dashboards that drive strategic decisions and foster innovation.

Job Summary

The Analyst, Inventory Analytics, develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and data assets that support the Replenishment and Demand Planning teams. The role partners with stakeholders to fulfil data requests, deliver quick-turn dashboarding and ad hoc analyses, and provide actionable business insights. The Analyst also investigates data and reporting issues, performs root-cause analysis, and ensures accurate, timely delivery while continuously improving and automating reporting solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generates & Own reports and dashboards as per the established service level agreements
  • Performs root-cause analysis, quick data pulls to support business stakeholder requirements
  • Extracts data from source system, transforms it according to business rules, visualizes and leverages AI to deliver meaningful insights to stakeholders
  • Support regular enhancement requests for the existing dashboards.
  • Supports automation initiatives to streamline current reports and wider departmental processes.
  • Collaborates regularly with cross-functional teams, manages systems and processes
Years of Experience

2-5 years of experience in analytics / business intelligence, preferably in retail or supply chain.

Education Qualification & Certifications

Required Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering / Statistics or other relevant fields.

Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (Must have)
  • Proven ability of generating insights from raw data and visualizing it in Excel or Power BI
  • Ability to drill down into large data sets running into millions of rows and perform root cause analysis
  • Proficient in using complex SQL queries to extract, transform and load data (ETL)
  • Proficient in Python (NumPy & Pandas).
  • Proficient in GCP or other cloud environments.
  • Proficient in Leveraging AI to drive Meaningful Insights.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate & prioritize effectively in demanding situations
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentation to management
  • Strong Understanding of Supply Chain and Replenishment Concepts.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have)
  • Ability to apply core statistical concepts to generate actionable insights and solve business problems.
