Job summary

Lowe’s India is seeking a Data Analytics Analyst in Bengaluru to support the Cost Analytics team. You will design data-driven analytics, automate reports, and collaborate with accounting and IT Finance to deliver insights across margin, cost, and payables.

The role requires proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and tools like Alteryx/Knime, with experience in Teradata, Hadoop, and cloud platforms. Work is on-site in Bengaluru with modern facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Engineering or BI; postgraduate in Finance/Business Analytics is a plus.
• 2–5 years of experience in Reporting & Analytics or Power BI development.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across locations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain leaders to capture requirements and define analytics deliverables.
• Document requirements with IT Finance and create wireframes for end users.
• Develop and present data-driven analyses and recommendations.

About The Team

The Cost Analytics team supports all analytical and data requirements that supports the accounting function – specifically Margin & Cost, Vendor Funding, Imports, Trade Payables and Transportation Accounting. Leveraging firm’s tech stack, the team works on varied problem statement and help in providing an optimum solution to end users.

I. Job Summary

The Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting a team dedicated to the accounting function for Lowe’s US operations. The principle purpose of the Business Analyst is to work with the Business leaders in delivering impactful data driven analytics support to the COA office. This position is responsible for designing the report to business needs with analytical best practices, facilitate to analyze results and identify insights for decision making. A substantial amount of technical knowledge is needed to support the various user requests and special projects. This is accomplished by utilizing advanced tools and methods to leverage various financial data. A goal of this position is automation of processes and enhancements of existing business analytics. To accomplish this, the Analyst must have decent knowledge of cost and financial analytics, be proficient in MS Excel, SQL, Teradata, Knime/Alteryx, Power Apps, Power Query, Power BI, Hadoop (Big data), Google Cloud Platform, Python, R etc. The Analyst will collaborate directly with various areas of accounting teams and other areas of the Business in order to ensure Inventory, Revenue and Margin are reported accurately both from an Operational and Financial perspective.

II. Roles & Responsibilities

• Partner with domain leaders to understand the requirements
• Research and document the requirements in collaboration with IT Finance
• Develop wireframes and seek feedback from end users
• Propose and present solution/analysis/recommendations to end users
• Create solutions addressing the specific challenge using various tools
• Create and maintain documentation of processes
• Act as a consultant to end users for recommendation on tools and technical feasibility

III. Years Of Experience

2-5 years of experience in the domain of Reporting & Analytics / Power BI Development Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Engineering or Business Intelligence Post Graduate in Finance/ Business Analytics will be an added advantage Experience working with multiple stakeholders across locations.

V. Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (Must have)

• Understanding of relational databases – Teradata, IBM DB2, Hadoop, Google Cloud Platform
• Expertise in SQL – DDL & DML – Joins, Partition, Update, Stored Procedures, Query tuning, etc.
• Advance MS Excel experience
• Exposure to ETL tools like Alteryx and Knime Python Programming – for data automation, scripting, and developing custom process solutions VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) – for Excel/Office automation and macro development
• Experience with Business Intelligence and Reporting tools, preferably in Power BI Ability to create charts/visualization that aptly represents the trends and analysis
• Analytical mindset to understand and solve complex business problem

Secondary Skills (Preferred)

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS
• Experience in Web Apps using React Framework
• Exposure to API concepts using NodeJS
