Job summary

Phenom, an AI-powered Talent Experience platform, is seeking a hands-on IRE & Monitoring Engineer with 2-3 years of production-support experience to join our technology operations and reliability team in Hyderabad.

You will monitor applications, respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and help automate runbooks to improve MTTR and MTTD while collaborating with Engineering, SRE, DevOps and Cloud teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Cloud, ITIL, DevOps, SRE or monitoring certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor applications, infrastructure, integrations and cloud platforms for availability, performance and health.
• Monitor dashboards, alerts, logs, metrics and events to identify potential production issues.
• Respond to production alerts and incidents within defined SLAs.
• Perform initial triage and technical troubleshooting of production issues.
• Troubleshoot issues across applications, infrastructure, databases, integrations and APIs.
• Analyze application logs, infrastructure metrics and monitoring data to identify potential root causes.
• Identify opportunities to improve application and platform reliability.
• Analyze incident and alert trends to identify recurring problems.
• Help reduce MTTR and MTTD through improved monitoring and automation.
• Support alert tuning and reduction of false positives.
• Improve and maintain operational runbooks.
• Participate in reliability and operational improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to SRE and DevOps practices.
• Support implementation of proactive monitoring and preventive controls.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on IRE & Monitoring Engineer with 2 - 3 years of experience to join our technology operations and reliability team.

The engineer will be responsible for monitoring critical applications and platforms, responding to production incidents, performing technical troubleshooting, supporting root-cause analysis, maintaining observability dashboards and alerts, and developing automation to reduce repetitive operational activities.

The ideal candidate should have a strong production-support mindset, good troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with monitoring tools and scripting.

This role provides an opportunity to work closely with Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure and Product teams and progressively build expertise in observability, reliability engineering and self-healing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

Professional Experience

• 2 - 3 years of experience in Production Support, IT Operations, Monitoring, Application Support, SRE or a related technical role.

• Hands-on experience supporting production applications or business-critical systems.
• Experience working with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Experience participating in production incident response.
