Job summary

PwC in Bengaluru seeks an experienced SRE/DevOps professional to lead infrastructure automation and application modernization. You will architect and implement cloud-based solutions, manage IaC with Terraform, and drive automated deployments using Ansible and CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires strong debugging, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on reliability and security across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
• Expert in Terraform with state management and multi-cloud provisioning.
• Hands-on with Ansible playbooks and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficient in Python or Bash scripting and Git-based CI/CD workflows.
• Familiar with observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK.

Responsibilities

• Application Modernization: Re-architect, containerize, and migrate monolithic apps into modern cloud/hybrid environments (Kubernetes, microservices).
• IaC: Design, build, and maintain cloud infra declaratively using Terraform.
• Configuration & Deployment Automation: Write and optimise Ansible playbooks and roles for automated server config, deployment, and patching.
• Reliability & Incident Management: Define and track SLOs/SLAs; build automated remediation to reduce MTTR.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate Terraform and Ansible pipelines into CI/CD workflows for zero-touch deployments.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure infra templates and scripts meet security baselines and policies.

Responsibilities

• Security & Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure templates and configuration scripts adhere to enterprise security baselines and compliance policies.
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience: 8+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering focused on infrastructure automation and application modernization.
• Core Automation Stack:
• Expert‑level proficiency in Terraform (State management, modules, and multi‑cloud provisioning).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Ansible (Playbooks, roles, idempotency, and agentless execution).
• Cloud & Container Technologies: Solid working experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Scripting & Tooling: Proficient in Python or Bash, and experienced with Git‑based version control workflows (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Observability: Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
