Job summary

Bosch Chassis Systems India Ltd invites applications for a production lead role in Maharashtra. You will guide a team of operators and trainees to meet KPIs, execute production plans, and maintain quality and safety standards on the shop floor.

The position requires 2–5 years of experience and a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Electrical. You will work on line start-ups, process improvements, and cross-functional coordination with quality, purchase, and logistics teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of operators/trainees to achieve production KPI and fulfil customer orders.
• Plan shifts, follow control plans and SOPs, coordinate material arrival, and achieve production targets.
• Deploy and train operators, maintain skill matrix and training records.
• Oversee line start-up, setup changes, and maintain documentation on 4M, OEE, defects, and changes.
• Identify safety, quality and productivity improvements; participate in IDC and OEE projects.
• Apply BPS concepts on the shop floor as coordinated by industrial engineer/BPS coordinator.
• Conduct daily rejection analysis with MFQ and implement corrective actions; update deviation board and ensure timely OPL closure.
• Maintain 5S, health, safety and quality compliance; resolve grievances and maintain team morale.
• Machine trouble shooting, changeovers, standardize work, and Kaizen participation.
• Provide training to operators and plan operator skill development.
• Support QMM, PJM, TEF activities for NPD/RPP and TPM activities; act as interface with quality, purchase, and logistics.

Job Description

• Order Fulfilment: Responsible for leading a team of operators / trainees for execution of production activities to achieve KPI targets and fulfilment of customer orders in the assigned production territory
• Shift Planning & Execution: Responsible for shift planning, ensure adherence to production documents such as control plan, standard operating procedures, work instruction sheet, execution of daily production plan, coordinate for timely arrival of material, achieve production quantity targets as specified in manufacturing plan, resolve issues related to
• Operator Deployment: Manpower tracking / monitoring and deployment of operators and trainees on the job, providing machine / on job training to operators and trainees, maintaining skill matrix and training records for operators and trainees
• Line start up: Responsible for line start up, set up change, achieving production quantity (volume) as specified in production plan, ensure product quality and maintain documentation related to line start up, set-up change, 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method) change management, point / system CiP, OEE status, rejection and defect status etc.
• Improvement Projects: Responsible for identifying opportunities for safety, quality and productivity improvement and implementation of the same, participate in IDC rejection projects, OEE improvement projects
• BPS implementation: Responsible for application and implementation of BPS concepts as specified by industrial engineer / BPS coordinator on shop floor
• Rejection Analysis: Responsible for daily rejection analysis with MFQ and follow up for corrective and preventive actions, implementation of containment action, update daily deviation management board, timely OPL closure Problem solvingMachining process knowhow
• Maintain healthy & cordial relations with operators for smooth functioning, motivate operators & maintain their high morale, attend to & resolve grievances of the team
• Responsible for maintaining 5S, health, safety and quality compliance

• Tool change , Ensure Burr cleanining with help of Housekeeping person, Conduct Autonomous maintenance, perform LPC, Standardize work, Particiapate in Kaizens
• Provide traininig to operators, maintain skill matrix , plan and execute operator skill development
• Support QMM team for validation related activities, PJM team for sample build related activities for NPD/RPP, TEF for maintenance
• Support to CFT in CiP activities, IDC reduction activities, OEE improvement
• Support TPM related activities in designated workstation / area
• Work in cross functional teams and act as an interface for manufacturing with quality, purchase, logistics teams
