Job summary

PwC Bengaluru is seeking a Manager-level professional with 5+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering. The role focuses on evaluating software systems, executing test cases, and validating performance against requirements across SDLC methodologies.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, and Dynatrace, and comfortable with scripting (Python/Java/JavaScript/Shell), cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Proficiency with one or more performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, Dynatrace, Gatling, k6, Locust, NeoLoad).
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Shell) for test automation and data manipulation.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, networks (HTTP/S), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and OS (Linux/Windows).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• CI/CD familiarity (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 + years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Proficiency with at least one major performance testing tool (e.g., Apache JMeter, Micro Focus LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, Locust, NeoLoad).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Shell scripting) for test automation and data manipulation.
• Solid understanding of system architecture, network protocols (HTTP/S), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and operating systems (Linux, Windows).
• Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics).
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex performance data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
