Job summary

Houzeo India Private Limited is seeking an in-house attorney to safeguard our U.S.-oriented real estate platforms, draft and respond to regulatory notices, and help manage cross-state compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

You will work directly with the CEO and senior leadership, draft internal and external legal documents, review contracts, coordinate with external counsel as needed, and demonstrate strong research, communication, and multitasking in a fast-growing environment; fresh

Qualifications

• LL.B. from a reputed law school; active bar membership is a plus.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic credentials are welcome.
• Solid understanding of contract law and U.S. real estate regulations.
• Exceptional research, drafting, and legal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft and respond to legal notices from regulatory authorities across multiple U.S. states
• Monitor evolving real estate laws and ensure cross-state compliance
• Own and enhance compliance frameworks, ensuring they are well-documented and consistentlyimplemented
• Review corporate agreements and assess the scope of liability
• Advise teams on contractual obligations and risk exposure
• Identify gaps in current agreements and suggest legal safeguards
• Draft internal documents, including employment contracts and external legal correspondence
• Coordinate with external counsel when necessary for specialised legal issues
• Work directly with the CEO and senior leadership on high-impact legal matters
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to ensure legal alignment in operations

Real Estate Regulatory Compliance

Draft and respond to legal notices from regulatory authorities across multiple U.S. states

Monitor evolving real estate laws and ensure cross-state compliance
