Job description

The Manager – Legal will be responsible for managing end-to-end legal operations for HubbleHox Technologies Pvt. Ltd., covering commercial contracts, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and corporate legal matters. The role requires close collaboration with business, finance, product, and leadership teams to enable growth while managing legal risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of contracts including:
  • Customer agreements (B2B, B2G, schools, institutions)
  • Vendor and partner agreements
  • SaaS, licensing, AMC, NDA, SLA, consultancy, and employment contracts
  • Develop, update, and maintain standard contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure contracts are legally robust, commercially balanced, and compliant with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Support business teams during negotiations and deal closures.
2. Intellectual Property (IPR) Management
  • Manage end-to-end IP lifecycle including trademarks, copyrights, and patents:
  • Filing, prosecution, renewals, oppositions, and enforcement
  • Work closely with external IP counsels and consultants.
  • Advise product, content, and tech teams on IP ownership, licensing, and protection strategies.
  • Ensure IP compliance in content creation, software development, and third-party usage.
3. Legal Advisory & Compliance
  • Act as an in-house legal advisor on matters relating to:
  • Technology, software, SaaS, EdTech, and digital platforms
  • Data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and confidentiality
  • IT Act, DPDP Act, and sector-specific regulations
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting the business and proactively advise stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with corporate, labour, and commercial laws applicable to the company.Identify legal and contractual risks across business operations and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Handle legal notices, disputes, and claims; coordinate with external counsels where required.
  • Support dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, or litigation management.
5. Corporate & Strategic Legal Support
  • Support corporate governance and secretarial compliance in coordination with finance and external professionals.
  • Assist in legal aspects of:
  • Mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships
  • Maintain statutory records, approvals, and legal documentation.
Qualifications
  • LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
  • Additional certifications in IPR, data protection, or technology law will be an advantage.
Experience
  • 5–7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in:
  • Technology / SaaS / EdTech companies, or
  • Law firms with strong exposure to tech and commercial contracts
  • Hands-on experience in contract drafting & negotiation and IPR management is mandatory.
  • Prior in-house legal experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate legal advice into practical, business-friendly solutions.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-growing environment.
