Job summary

Bosch Rexroth India is seeking a seasoned purchasing professional to lead component development, supplier evaluation, and cost optimization for mechanical parts and sub-assemblies. You will coordinate with central purchasing and manufacturing teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires 4–8 years in purchasing, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and hands-on experience with SAP, MS Office, SharePoint and Teams. Domestic travel may be required to support projects.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree with practical purchasing exposure.
• Business acumen for cost optimization and supplier evaluation.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams on procurement projects.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage component development, NPD, vendor development and cost negotiation.
• Oversee RFQ processes, supplier evaluation and techno-commercial discussions.
• Achieve quality, cost and delivery targets for parts.
• Coordinate with central purchasing, material and quality teams.
• Lead change management and risk mitigation for developed parts.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Job Description

• Manage Component/ Part Development, New Part Development (NPD), Vendor Development, Cost Negotiation, Zero Based Costing, Request for Quotation, Strategic Sourcing, Program Management, Project Management, Quality Management for Various Product, application projects –related to Mechanical Components, Machinery building and Sub-assemblies.
• Responsible for Development of Parts like Casting, Machining, & forging parts.
• Responsible for achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Prepare supplier selection - includes RFQ process, supplier evaluation, Techno-commercial discussion.
• Having experience of Zero base costing
• communication and participation in sourcing decisions.
• Representative in PEP – New product development project.
• Interface with: Central Purchasing, material field related purchasing and quality
• department & Manufacturing dept for project management
• Ensure preventive quality planning (VQP) for project specific new parts and
• coordination of their release.
• Coordinate Material Ratio Planning project activities.
• Change management for developed / procured parts.
• Requirement based travel - domestic and international

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering / Bachelor's Degree – Mechanical Engineering
• Practical commercial and project management experience.
• Analytical and structural approach.
• Work well independently, highly motivated, results oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time, including following up on his/her actions
• Minimum 4 - 8 years’ experience with purchasing parts is preferred.
• Ability to develop network in very complex company culture.
• SAP, MS Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Team experience required.

Preferably have a professional experience in Project Purchasing / Program management with sound knowledge on Casting, Machining & forging Components and Sub-assemblies development & vendor development activities
