Job summary

PwC India seeks an experienced Data Governance Manager to lead enterprise-wide governance initiatives, develop governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality policies aligned with regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with Master Data Management, Data Privacy, and Security teams to implement cohesive data governance strategies and drive governance maturity across business units in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding and substantial experience in data governance, metadata management, master data management and data quality frameworks, policies, and processes.
• Strong knowledge of data management industry standards and regulations including BCBS239, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Collibra / Informatica CDGC/Alation/ any other DG tool, including operating model design and working with Catalog connectors.
• Experience in running Data Governance Literacy & Awareness programs.
• Understanding of CRM Salesforce Data & experience in how to catalog & govern it.
• Experience collaborating within global teams, steering committees, and governance forums to address and resolve data-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage data governance frameworks, metadata management processes, and data quality policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Define and enforce data governance principles, standards, and best practices aligned with industry regulations such as BCBS239, GDPR, CCPA, etc.

• Drive implementation and continuous improvement of the Data Governance tool — primarily Collibra, Informatica CDGC, Alation etc
