Job summary

Tekskills in Chennai seeks an experienced IMS systems programmer to work on IMS internals, data sharing/Parallel Sysplex, installations & operations, and performance tuning.

You will implement SMP/E, UserMods, OEM tools, and security interfaces with IMS; maintain z/OS, USS, JCL, and have working knowledge of CICS/IMS and MQ/IMS.

The role requires capacity planning, troubleshooting and a proactive approach to system stability in a large IBM mainframe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a IMS systems programmer with IMS internals, fundamentals, and operations.
• Hands-on experience with IMS Data Sharing/Parallel Sysplex and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with SMP/E, UserMods, and interfacing with OEM/vendor tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operate IMS systems across installations & operations.
• Tune systems for performance and capacity planning; ensure IMS security interfaces.
• Maintain z/OS environment, USS, and JCL; collaborate with CICS/IMS and MQ/IMS.
