Job summary

Quintall is seeking an Application Engineer to manage and execute large-scale irrigation projects. The role involves implementing engineering designs, overseeing technical management, and collaborating with clients and suppliers.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree and has experience with water systems, irrigation installations, and strong technical skills in Excel and specialized software. The position may require international travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and implementing for execution of engineering designs for large-scale water systems.
• Experience in planning/execution/installation of irrigation systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement engineering plans to create bills of quantities and pricing for quotations.
• Detailed planning for execution.
• Project technical management from planning stage through commissioning.
• Review, control, and approval of equipment from various global suppliers.
• Interface with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.

Skills

General Job Description

Netafim's EMEA Projects Unit is responsible for promoting, selling, and executing large-scale irrigation projects in its areas of responsibility (Europe, Middle East, Africa). The projects unit application engineer holds overall responsibility for the professional aspect of implementing engineering designs into equipment specifications in coordination with project engineers, designers, field installers, and suppliers, monitoring and adapting during installation phases, and ongoing control of the technical sides of projects.

Main Areas of Responsibility

• Implementing engineering plans to create bills of quantities and pricing for quotations
• Detailed planning for execution
• Project technical management from planning stage through commissioning
• Review, control, and approval of equipment from various global suppliers
• Interfaces with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors

Engineering Aspects

• Design of pumping, filtration, and control systems
• Selection of hydraulic components and electro-mechanical equipment
• Preparation of technical specifications and plans

Control and Supervision

• Support and supervision of field execution
• Technical problem-solving
• Support of testing and commissioning
