Job summary

Sapiens is seeking an Implementation Consultant to join the Bangalore team. You will independently configure and implement insurance customer requirements using enterprise applications.

This role blends technical configuration with business process understanding, AI-enabled features, and collaboration with product, AI, DevOps, and QA teams. Based in Bangalore with a flexible remote/onsite work model, you will work across North America division projects, contributing to cloud-based SaaS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent.
• MBA is a plus and indicated as part of the education mix.
• Experience with enterprise application implementation and configuration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of enterprise applications for insurance customers.
• Configure business rules, calculations, and formulas using an object‑oriented rule engine.
• Design, execute, and document unit test cases for configured functionality.
• Support configuration and rollout of AI enabled features in a cloud/SaaS setup.

Description

The Implementation Consultant will be responsible for independently configuring and implementing simple to medium complexity level customer requirements in enterprise applications for insurance customers. The role requires a strong techno-functional orientation, combining system configuration, analytical problem solving, and collaboration with product, AI, DevOps, SCS teams to ensure successful implementations.

The position involves working with rule engines, configurable platforms, data driven logic, and AI enabled features, supporting modern SaaS delivery models and continuous product evolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of enterprise applications for insurance customers
• Understand design specifications and implement them using application and product configuration capabilities
• Configure business rules, calculations, and formulas using an object-oriented rule engine
• Perform detailed Log Analysis for understanding of the issues
• Support configuration and rollout of AI enabled features such as validations, recommendations, or automated decisioning (where applicable)
• Design, execute, and document unit test cases for configured functionality
• Validate AI driven or rules-based outputs against defined business logic
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product, AI/Engineering, and QA teams
• Support implementation activities across environments in a cloud hosted / SaaS setup
• Additionally, the role may involve supporting frontend development aligned with UI/UX specifications, with an understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and general UI principles

Experience & Background

• 3-5 years of experience in implementation of enterprise business applications, preferably in:
• Insurance
• Financial Services
• Retail
• Manufacturing

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong conceptual, analytical, and mathematical skills
• Strong techno functional orientation with understanding of:
• Enterprise IT landscape
• Object-oriented concepts
• Multitier and SaaS based application architectures
• Database design fundamentals
• Experience with data modelling
• SQL queries and data analysis
• Structured programming language background
• Experience/ Exposure to relational databases, Web development using HTML/DHTML, CSS – Sass & Less,, JavaScript
• Familiarity with the concepts of Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services / SOAP, REST, JSON and Meta Model based architectures
• Ability to understand and implement complex business processes, calculations, and decision logic
• Exposure to AI assisted or data driven system behaviour (rule-based AI, decision engines, automation, validations)
• Exposure to source code management tools like GitHub or BitBucket or Azure Repo.
• Experience in integration with API using low code tools

AI-Related Expectations

• Use LLM/AI tools for requirements analysis, documentation, and process mapping.
• Validate AI-generated outputs for correctness, bias, hallucination, and business rule alignment.
• Use AI for SQL generation, test data creation, scenario expansion, and analytical insights.
• Adhere to responsible AI governance, privacy, and validation disciplines

SaaS & Cloud Awareness

• Understanding of SaaS delivery models, including:
• Configuration driven releases
• Environment based deployments (Dev / Test / UAT / Prod)
• Multi‑tenant considerations
• Familiarity with cloud concepts such as scalability, configuration over customization, and continuous delivery

Communication & Collaboration

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain technical and AI driven behaviour to functional and business stakeholders
• Comfortable working in Cross functional and distributed teams

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) or equivalent
• MBA
