Job summary

Optirecruit Global is seeking an experienced Production Designer for a modular furniture factory in Gurugram. You will turn approved designs and site measurements into precise cutting lists, BOMs and production drawings, using AutoCAD and Excel.

Candidates should have 5–7 years of experience, with a strong background in AutoCAD, Excel, and panel materials knowledge. Preference for IMOS/Cabinet Vision/Polyboard experience, though not required. This is an on-site role in Haryana, India.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in production design for modular furniture.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Excel for cutting lists and drawings.
• Knowledge of panel materials (particle board, MDF, plywood, laminates) and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Review approved design drawings and site measurements.
• Prepare accurate cutting lists, BOMs and hardware schedules in Excel.
• Create detailed production and assembly drawings in AutoCAD.
• Optimize panel cutting to reduce material wastage.
• Coordinate with design, production and purchase teams.
• Resolve shop-floor production queries.
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Production Designer for our modular furniture factory. The person will turn approved designs and site measurements into accurate cutting lists, BOMs and production drawings.

Candidates from an IMOS, Cabinet Vision, Polyboard or similar software background are welcome. However, we do not use IMOS in-house, so the role requires preparing cutting lists, BOMs and drawings manually in AutoCAD and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Review approved design drawings and site measurements.
• Prepare accurate cutting lists, BOMs and hardware schedules manually in Excel.
• Create detailed production and assembly drawings in AutoCAD.
• Optimize panel cutting to reduce material wastage.
• Coordinate with the design, production and purchase teams.
• Resolve production queries on the shop floor.
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong command of AutoCAD and Excel.
• Experience preparing cutting lists and BOMs, manually or through software.
• Good knowledge of panel materials (particle board, MDF, plywood, laminates, edge banding) and furniture hardware.
• Understanding of modular kitchen, wardrobe and panel furniture manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred

• Experience with IMOS, Cabinet Vision, Polyboard or similar software.
• Knowledge of panel saw or CNC-based production.
